It's here : the exciting launch of OTTAVA last week at the Society of Robotic Surgery in Miami. Following FDA Clearance via the de Novo pathway of Johnson & Johnson's new (and long awaited) soft tissue surgical robot OTTAVA.
Over the coming weeks I'm pulling together all of my own personal thoughts and impressions about the system.
I've been studying the patents for years - making guesses based of scant details - but now with the information in the public domain... I can make some adjustments to my thinking.
