Things are changing faster than we think in the world of surgical robotics. And not every new robot looks or walks like a da Vinci by Intuitive. Many newer systems are trying to tackle the issues we face as we must - and I mean MUST scale surgery.
We don't have enough surgeons - nurses - assistants xto treat the ever growing number of cases. We can't use the biggest - best - most expensive technology for every case - we don't have time and we don't have the money.
We will need the big multi arm systems for many procedures - no doubts. And over in main hospitals where the systems are abundant - it can make sense. But what if we need to treat fast - simple procedures in other sites of care like the ASC. That model is NOT a small hospital - it's rapid production line.
Moon Surgical is trying to find that tuck in technology space where "enough" is just "enough." Where AI and technology can be assistive.
