Ottava seems to be an exciting third alternative to Intuitive Boom designs, and Medtronic modular designs. I've pulled together everything publically known about Ottava and presented it here in this series of blog post. Keep reminding yourself that this is only speculation as much of the details of Ottava has been kept a deep secret.
However we do know it is currently in IDE trials for Bariatrics - cases are recruiting and JNJ has indicated a 2026 submission for FDA in the USA. Browsing job offerings and recruitment - it is clear that JNJ is preparing critical markets like the USA, Europe and especially Japan for an early commercial push of this technology.
These are simply speculations and opinions of the author for education purposes only - based on publicly available information.
